Incunables from the Schoyen Collection
The Schoyen Collection began in 1955 with a manuscript fragment of circa 1300. The next Incunable was acquired in 1976. In 1991 the Schoyen collection changed directions towards collecting only Western medieval manuscripts and they decided to put up these 45 Incunables for product at Sotheby's. Each of the 45 lots in this catalog are very well described and illustrated in color in this Hard Cover catalog. All lots also show illustrations of binding tools and ownership marks.A great item for any collector of Incunabula or lover of early printed works.
Catalog will include a copy of the prices realized (sales results).
